DAY - 20 (04/02/2023)

 The day started with the  morning prayer by Team - F which was followed by address by Sh. Sunil Saini.

Ms.Pooja took a session creation of QR code for our respective libraries.How to share and paste it in important places in vidyalaya were discussed.

We had three sessions taken by Participant Librarian.Ms.Sherly Verghese took a session on Padlet,the virtual bulletin board.

The next session was from Ms.Shreena ,she made the participant familiar with Quizizz aap.Elaborate discussions were done on how we can conduct the quiz for our students.

After Tea the participants had a session on Story based Pedagogy in context with NeP 2020 By Sh.Mukesh Kumar,D.C,ZIET Chandigarh

FB Page creation for our school libraries was taken up by  Faisal Sir.Step by step instructions were given .

DAY - 19

 The  day started with a wonderful Prayer by Team Bibliophile.

The participants were addressed by Course Director Sh.Sunil Saini.As always we were motivated by him to continue the course and participants were praised for maintaining the enthusiasm as Day-1

The nextsession was of Library Advocacy and Collaborative Activities by Dr.Neeza Singh.

DAY - 17 (THE READ ALOUD DAY)

 The day started with the prayer from group RRR.

There was a small talk by Course Director Sunil Saini Sir on ' Transformation.' My takeaways -  

1.To take our work to the level where it crosses the level of Rules and Regulations. This is for self satisfaction.

2. Will power is always greater than the constraints of your surroundings.

This self directed learning was taken up by taking example from library.Research skills,Research Design,Research Literature and Action Research was taken up in length.

DAY-10 (25/01/2023)

The day started with a spectacular prayer by Team RRR. A motivational videow was shown by our Resource Person by Sh. Sunil Saini.My reflections from the story was sometimes we follow a group and a part of it.Don't follow blindly.Be mindful as the whole group can go wrong occassionally. The Assistant Course Director Sh.Tek Chand praised the morning assembly and the participants were motivated to do the best in the training course. All the participants were mesmerised by the session og Effective Communication Skills by Ms.Aparna Ray,TA English.Active listening,various types of communication like downwards,upwards,lateral and horizontal communication were taken up with active participation of participants.A game called chinese whisper made to play.Hearing vs Listening was taken up.The need of active listening was taught as it is paramount important to be a sp as a counsellor. After tea we witnessed a talk on Sexual Harass,emt pf women at workplace by Sh Jugal Kishore,A.C.KVS R.O.Chandigarh.The various acts and articles were taken up and year of enactment was told in length.An activity of Drop in reading habits in Teachers - Factors vs Remedies were made to do in groups. Today 9 participants presented their presentations in a befitting manner.All were praised by Resource Persons Sh.Faisal and Sh.Adesh. After Lunch, the participants had a handson session on the updating blogs and completing the assignments.

day -9

  The day started by a refreshing morning prayer. The participants witnessed the topic of Open Educational Resources - Issues and Contexts. The various examples are open stax,Gyan kosh,Diksha,Olabs(which is in HTML),Wide variety of topics were covered under this like creative commons licence ,NROER,NPTEL,FOSSEE.

The participants got an interesting task of attemting quiz on Quizzes.This is really awesome with the three names displayed of the best performers.

The post lunch session the participants were allowed to practice various tools learnt and complete the assignments.

DAY - 5 20/jan/2023

 The day started with a spectacular Morning Prayer..The Librarians witnessed the first session of the day  on Reading Habits.Tips on how to become an effective School Librarian .How to enhance reading skills,how to do the documentation of any library activity taken up in your library were taken up.

Librarians felt blessed to attend the class on Personality Development by Dr. Manjula and Tarun (conducted activities with Balloons and sketch pens) .

day 7 (22/01/2023)

•  After a spectacular Prayer Assembly, DC Sir, talked about importance of learning the prayer and pledge by all Librarians. We were made to write the prayer and pledge in hindi.
•  In the first session of the day the participants were taught about the Librarian's Diary and how this evaluation tool can be used effectively by continuously updating it.Different topics like Library Budget, class library etc were discussed in length. All the topics given in the index of Diary were covered.
• I was benefitted the most when the topic of - Template for Library Activity Worksheet was discussed. I needed this direly as my documentation part is always left out after conducting the activity.
• After that there was a session on Cyber Safety and Internet Security. This was taken up Guest Lecturer Puneet Mudgal. We were made aware of the various threat we are exposed to in our daily transactions.

Post lunch a session on canva was taken by Mr.Shafi and this was followed by a handson session at computer lab.

day 6 January 21,2023

The learning spree continued on day 6 of the training.it started with a marvellous prayer by team bibliophile.

 I learnt lot many things in the first session of the day the topic was changing roles of school library and Librarians .Myriad topics were covered extensively like goals of school library ,goals, SL as Technological leader ,leader ,instructional partners, facilitators, information specialist and program administrator. 

There was immense learning at the session of Mental Well being taken by Dr. Manoj Bajaj. what is mental health, the stigma attached to it, the internal and external stressors, how to overcome rather minimize it and self help were covered in a jovial way .he grabbed the attention of all participants with his funny gestures and facial expressions. His message went loud and clear to each and everyone present there. the post lunch session was a great learning experience .newsletter formation using MS Publisher. The theory part was told first in a step by step succinct way, which was followed by a handson experience all at computer lab. i a whole i can say that i had an enriching day .Gratitude to all trainers .

DAY-4

 The main takeaways for the day was 

1.NEP 2020 SESSION - This was very important and interesting as it made me aware of the sea changes education field is going to witness. The surprise factor for me was how Learning Outcomes can be mentioned  in a Library Diary besides  academics.

2.School Cinema concept was not only attractive but also highly informative. It gave me the idea of imparting valuable knowledge to the students through animation.

3.Web tools to create a virtual Library space is today's demand. I  liked the concept where a  quotes shows to create library as a third space.where user come to explore,imagine ,think,learn ,paly and reflect. It is also a platform to collaborate to form new ideas.

The handson session was helpful as it provided the chance to exucute what all I learnt during the class.

DAY-3

16 JANUARY 2023

 DAY - 1

I was very excited to come to Chandigarh when i saw my name in the list of participants for ISC at ZIET Chandigarh.First and foremost i met my school mate here on 15 th january.By evening i came to the campus ,met everyone and experienced great vibes of the place and people.By next day morning met the instructors too.

My take away from day - 

I was very clear with the objectives of the training programme. Loved the concept of parking of ideas by  Sh.Sunil Saini. I could relate to the thought that In-Service Course is designed to bring total transformation in Librarians which benefits us not only in their professional life but personal life too.

2.My next take away is two books names suggested which i plan to  read - the power of subconscious mind and the Eight habit.

3.The best part whcih i liked in the session was change in attitude and behaviour. There was also a fun filled section which mesmerized me was the ice break session of knowing each other. This became my favourite because we were taken in the outdoors in the shining sun .

4.As the day passed we were moved to the technical side of our subject by a session of Digital/Online Portfolio creation by Sh. Faisal.
